But hey, 10, 11 years ago they gave me three months to live. They missed him fiercely. Due to irreconcilable differences with my ex-partner, I find myself homeless to date. I need a place of transit until my pension papers come out. Please, I need help, ”he asked.
The following day, a certain Emiliano Bustos wrote an extensive message about a chance meeting he had with Bazterrica, giving an account of the state of the famous guitarist: “I don’t know where to start. A few days ago I came across this man at an ATM, I arrived in a remis and at the touch I realized that he had motor problems. He could hardly even get out of the car, I helped him and gave him my place in line at the cashier. He was barely walking and while I was helping him to support himself, we started chatting. I told him that I saw a familiar face and he told me that it was nothing more and nothing less than Gustavo Bazterrica, eternal guitarist of Los Abuelos de la Nada ”, his story began.
“It hurt me to see him so deteriorated. With a super lucid head but with serious motor problems. The question is that I help him get on the remis and he left … Days later he uploads a statement in his Facebook account requesting transit, saying that he had no where to live. And I, like thousands who commented with the intention of helping him, I was one more who joined that request and I do not know why among so many, last night I received a message from you renewing your request for help. So I put myself at his disposal and brought him to my house ”, revealed Bustos. “I helped him to bathe, I fed him, I bought him medicine and here we are. At home, chatting about life, keeping him company and assisting him. More than talking, listening, learning, delighting me with their infinite stories … ”, he added in his story.
And later, he reflected on the matter: “We will all reach such an age one day and I do not wish anyone to reach that age, or I hope that we all have someone to trust. I am very afraid, yes. Afraid. I never brought someone to live at home and less an older person and with their limitations. But I played it, cheered me up. With all the difficulties it takes and the assistance it requires. On Thursday night, Bustos updated on the situation with a new post on Facebook: “We had dinner. Ice cream for dessert and to sleep. The Basque is very good, people.
