The pop singer reports how his family is dealing with his mother’s illness.
Pop singer and presenter Stefan Mross would like his mother to stay in his parents’ house in Traunstein, Upper Bavaria, for a long time to come. “I never want to take her out of her house in my life,” the 48-year-old told the magazine “Bunte” (Thursday). “This is her base, her familiar surroundings.”
His mother is becoming demented and is now in care level three, reports Mross. Sometimes she tells “dementia stories like that”. “I let her talk, listen, even if she tells the same thing again after three minutes.” His brother, who lives in the house next door, currently checks on their mother every day, and she also goes to day care several times a week. He himself recently took her to Europapark for a week, says Mross. Last Sunday he hosted the ARD show “Immer wieder sonntags” there.
