Coldplay selected the photo of an Argentine artist for the cover of their new album

The British band’s next album will be released on October 4. The first single will be released on June 21 on different platforms.

In the middle of his world tour “Music Of The Spheres Tour”, Coldplay shared an announcement that excites his fans. This is the release of a new album that has a date for 4th of October of this year.

The ninth studio album by the British rock band will be titled ““Moon Music”. The last album, “Music of the Spheres”had come out in October 2021 and became the best-selling album in the United Kingdom since “No. 6 Collaborations Project” by Ed Sheeran in 2019.

This upcoming publication not only excites fans of the band led by Chris Martin but also Argentines for one reason in particular. And it is that The cover of the new album will be illustrated by the image of Matias Alonso Revelli, a young photographer from Bahía Blanca.

The photo selected by Coldplay represents a rainbow with saturated colors against a blue sky. The Argentine artist shared the story behind the image on their social networks: “During the pandemic, I was at home when my dad called me to tell me that I should go to the patio and look at the sky. What I saw was this wonderful rainbow right above my headI ran to get my camera, took a couple of photographs, went in to edit them as I usually do and that was it”, and he finished: “Now it’s the cover of ‘Moon Music”.

He also expressed his excitement about the call and the recognition of his work. “I want to thank the band and their entire team for their kindness and for trusting my work for their next album. “I will always be grateful and honored to be a part of this,” he wrote.

The band chose me directly. They contacted me, at once. I was very surprised by this because I don’t think it’s very common for a band of that caliber to handle itself so humbly. Very geniuses, really,” Alonso said in an interview.

Likewise, as a preview, the band revealed through their social networks that on June 21, “feelslikeimfallinginlove”, the first single from the album that will have ten unreleased songs.
