Jordan Peele confirmed the release date of his fourth film

Universal Pictures had set the release for December 25, 2024, but the film disappeared and was replaced by another long-awaited Focus Features production.

The double strike that broke out in mid-2023 in Hollywood, first driven by the scriptwriters and then by the actors, was logically a complete earthquake for the studios’ plans. The fourth film Jordan Peele was one of those affected.

Universal Pictures The premiere had been set for December 25, 2024, but the film disappeared and was replaced by another long-awaited Focus Features production. We talk about Nosferatuthe remake that Robert Eggers (The Witch) has been created based on the legendary silent adaptation of Dracula by FW Murnau. This will be the film that arrives on December 25, and until now we had not known what the new date for Peele’s film was. Since it had not yet been filmed, we could assume that things were going to be long.

Peele’s new film will finally be released on October 23, 2026, as the director himself has confirmed on Twitter.

There are more than two years left for that, so the project still has development ahead of it but at least it has set an appropriate date: it supposes to arrive on dates bordering on Halloween, and that fits with Peele’s terrifying concerns. His three films to date have cultivated the genre in one way or another, although in such a particular way as to make this filmmaker one of the most respected today.

Jordan Peele’s filmography

Who did not appear in Ushis next film in 2019, but he was the protagonist of Nope. This latest film, released in 2022, received great critical reception.

We know almost nothing about this fourth film. We don’t know its title, we don’t know if it will be horror, nor if Peele and Kaluuya would work together again. It will be produced, yes, by Monkey Paw (Peele’s label that this year brought us Monkey Man with Dev Patel).
