Ryan Reynolds shared on his personal Instagram story that the post-production of the film Deadpool & Wolverine is officially complete, meaning the film is ready to hit theaters on July 25.
Reynolds revealed the news by posting a photo of himself with the director Shawn Levy with the subtitle:
“And that’s all he wrote for post-production. It feels like a million years of work went by in the blink of an eye. Sitting next to this guy made everything so sweet… It’s hard to leave him.” .
It’s a good sign to see post-production on Deadpool & Wolverine wrapped up with over a month until release, considering it’s been several years. Taika Waititi shared that they would be working on Thor: Love and Thunder until the day it hits theaters, a fact made evident by some CGI in the film.
Some projects of Marvelas She-Hulkfaced backlash before their release for poor visuals in the trailers and promotional material, but the response to the trailers for Deadpool & Wolverine has been almost entirely positive.
The second trailer in particular, which offered the first official look at the return of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine after seven years away from the character, generated excitement across all social media platforms.
What Deadpool & Wolverine is about
Through its website, Marvel Studios shared the official synopsis of the film Deadpool & Wolverinewhich attracted a lot of attention due to its content.
“Marvel Studios presents its most significant mistake to date: Deadpool & Wolverine. An apathetic Wade Wilson struggles in civilian life. “His days as the morally flexible mercenary Deadpool are behind him,” this summary of the film’s central plot begins by revealing.
In the second part, the studio noted: “When his homeworld faces an existential threat, Wade must reluctantly re-suit himself with an even more reluctant… reticent? more reticent? He must convince a reluctant Wolverine that… Damn. The synopses are fucking stupid.” With this, the audience that has been waiting for the film for so many months did nothing but add even more expectation.
