There is no further information about the secret wedding six months ago. However, the news site reports that the marriage was officially celebrated in St. Louis County. So everything indicates that the two said “I do” in Nelly’s hometown.
Ashanti dreams of a beach wedding
Just earlier this week, pregnant Ashanti spoke about her wedding plans. At the time, she said that the celebration would take place soon – but first she wanted to give birth to her child. “We are both very busy and since the baby is coming, everything else takes a back seat,” explained the 43-year-old.
But she already has a month in mind for the big day. “I need a beach, an ocean, sunshine and palm trees,” she revealed about her dream wedding. It can therefore be assumed that the couple will celebrate their vows a second time after the secret ceremony.
Nelly and Ashanti have been providing one surprise after another since last year. In September 2023, the dream couple of the 2000s confirmed that they had reunited ten years after their separation. A few months later, more good news followed: They announced their engagement and Ashanti’s pregnancy at the same time. It is the singer’s first child; her partner already has three biological children and two adopted children.
