George Santos made history as a US congressman because of his expulsion. Now he’s trying his luck on Onlyfans.
He was always good for a headline – now he’s trying his luck on Onlyfans. George Santos’ political career in the US Congress lasted less than a year before he was thrown out as a fraud and imposter. He now promises “deep insights” on the subscription platform.
Santos announced this on the short message service X, formerly known as Twitter. “The moment you’ve all been waiting for! Only on Onlyfans will you get behind the scenes access to everything I’m working on,” the post reads.
Little enthusiasm for Onlyfans
The reaction is obviously not what he was hoping for. “Disgusting, unfollowed,” posted one of the first users. “You know that there’s more than just porn there?” Santos tried to counteract, accompanied by a laughing emoji. “And you only read Playboy for the articles,” came the immediate counter.
In another thread, Santos made it clear that the controversy was of interest to him. “You should have used Patreon instead,” noted one user there. The platform works in a similar way, but is less focused on sex content. “Boring,” Santos said. “We need to stir things up a bit.”
No porn
However, the flamboyant MP ruled out that he himself would post pornographic content. “I will absolutely not do anything sexual there,” he assured, accompanied by a vomiting emoji.
But what other content will there be? According to the description, subscribers will be offered “never-before-seen content from the congress icon.” So far, three videos have been uploaded. It remains to be seen how many users will actually want to pay $30 a month for this.
George Santos made history
As a member of parliament, Santos hardly made headlines for his political work: not a single one of his 40 motions received a single vote (read more here). Nevertheless, he received plenty of attention: just weeks after taking office in January 2023, an ever-growing web of lies about his life was revealed step by step.
Santos had apparently invented not only his professional history, but also large parts of his family history, jumping flexibly from one version to the next. He lived under different names for a while, pretended to be “Jewish” even though he was raised Catholic, claimed to have worked for the stock exchange, Broadway and as a model. His mother died in the attack on the World Trade Center, although she was apparently last in the USA in 1999. There were also all sorts of bizarre stories from former roommates or acquaintances from whom he is said to have cheated and stolen money.
After being charged with embezzling campaign funds, it was all over – and Santos really made history: He was the first congressman ever to be thrown out of the House of Representatives without having been convicted of a crime. And that after only one year. Since then, Santos has been trying to monetize his dubious fame, with appearances on Cameo and most recently with his own cryptocurrency. Now also on Onlyfans.
