The European Football Championship in Germany continues to attract prominent figures from politics and society to the stadiums. After Chancellor Olaf Scholz (66), presenter Günther Jauch (67) and former tennis star Boris Becker (56), among others, celebrated the victory of the German national team against Hungary on Wednesday (June 19), Federal Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock (43) appeared in the stands on Thursday afternoon at the preliminary round match between Slovenia and Serbia in Munich’s Allianz Arena.

The Green politician watched the 1:1 draw between the two Balkan countries together with her colleague, Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon (53) in the stadium. There, Baerbock wrote on a picture of the two politicians: “United by football – home game for Europe”.
Baerbock’s enthusiasm for football is no secret. On June 14, the 43-year-old shared a photo on her official Instagram channel at the start of the European Football Championship, in which she proudly leaves a government plane in a Germany jersey. “I wish us all a great home European Championship, new friendships and great games. Let’s go!”
