Long marriages are rare in Hollywood. But Michael J. Fox makes a sweet declaration of love to his wife after almost 40 years together.
Michael J. Fox (63) celebrated his wife Tracy Pollan’s (64) birthday with a heartfelt declaration of love. The couple has been married for more than 35 years and has been through a lot during this time. Pollan has always stood by the actor, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s at an early age.
“Beautiful Tracy’s beautiful day”
The “Back to the Future” star has often attracted attention in the past with romantic messages to his wife, with whom he has four children. He also dedicated a touching Instagram post to her on her 64th birthday on June 22, 2024. He wrote: “In every beautiful way, it is the beautiful Tracy’s beautiful day.” He continued: “I love you and today is going to be great.” He promised that it would be an “epic day” and assured her that he would “always and forever” be her Mike – “with so much love.” He also posted a black and white photo of his wife wearing a black tank top and with her hair down. A second snapshot showed the couple arm in arm on a trip to the water.
Pollan has supported Fox over the years in his projects and in his fight against his disease. She was at his side when his film “Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie” won the award for best documentary at the “National Board of Review” gala in January 2024. She also accompanied him to the Michael J. Fox Foundation’s “A Country Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s” event in early April.

The couple have known each other since 1985. Pollan played Michael J. Fox’s girlfriend in the sitcom “Family Ties.” They got together three years later while filming the movie “Bright Lights of the City.” Then things happened very quickly: They married on July 16, 1988. In 1991, when Fox was just 29 years old, he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Seven years later, he went public with the diagnosis.
In an interview with the US magazine “People”, the actor spoke about his long marital happiness: “It’s interesting to have been married for 35 years.” They were the best 35 years of his life. Many in the world think they know him. But only his wife actually knows him. Fox also praised his better half for her private commitment during an event in March 2023: “Tracy gives our family everything we need. Everything good in our family, everything good we do, comes from her.”
