Dave Grohl and criticism of Taylor Swift during a Foo Fighters show: “We do play”

Grohl’s criticism of Swift is quite surprising since the musicians have gotten along well in the past.

Dave Grohl surprisingly criticized Taylor Swift during a recent show Foo Fighters.

While performing at the London Stadium on Saturday (June 22), Grohl noted that Swift was having her own concert at Wembley. After a chorus of boos from fans, Grohl told the audience: “I’m telling you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift. That’s why we like to call our tour the ‘Tour of Mistakes.'”

Grohl jokingly added: “We’ve had more than a few eras and also more than a few fucking mistakes. Just a couple. That’s because we actually play live. That? Just say. You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? “You came to the right damn place.”

Grohl’s criticism of Swift is quite surprising since the musicians have gotten along well in the past. In 2018, he recalled the time Swift “saved” him at a party hosted by Paul MCCARTNEY. According to Grohl, McCartney played a song on the piano, after which “everyone turned to me and said, ‘All right, Dave, play a song!’”

“I can’t play the piano and at the time I was in a bit of a bad mood,” he continued. “All guitars are left-handed and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, what do I do? What should I do?’ And at that moment, Taylor Swift stands up and says, “I’ll make a song.” “So she saved my ass.”

While the reason for Grohl’s attack on Swift has yet to be identified, several social media posts speculate that it is in response to the cyberbullying of Grohl’s daughter by crowds of Swift fans earlier this year. After the 17-year-old posted that the singer flew her private jet everywhere, Violet reportedly received death threats and Swift did not speak out against her fans’ actions.

Taylor Swift’s response to Dave Grohl’s sayings

Taylor Swift apparently responded to Grohl’s comments. After receiving a standing ovation at Wembley on Sunday night (June 23), Swift praised her band, subtly saying: “Every single member of my band, every one of our team, my band, who will be playing live for you for 3.5 hours tonight, you deserve it so much. And so does each of my fellow artists. And you gave it to us so generously that we will never forget it.”
