The last of The Simpsons “predictions” to come to light is the three-eyed fish Blinky, who appears in the 1990 episode Two cars in each garage and three eyes on each fish.

Last week, a Reddit user posted an image of what appears to be a fish with three eyes: one on top of its head and two on each side. The fish was reportedly caught off the coast of Greenland.

The image of the three-eyed fish circulated on Reddit.
Fans were quick to notice the link and took to the comments to acknowledge The Simpsons’ reputation as time travelers. One wrote, “Simpsons predictions always come true,” while another wrote, “So that’s where Springfield is,” referring to the fictional city in which the series is set.
Blinky, the three-eyed fish in The Simpsons
In the episode, Bart catches Blinky while fishing with Lisa. The mutation of the three eyes is a product of nuclear waste from the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, where Homer works.
The plant’s owner, Mr. Burns, who is running for governor, claims that Blinky is not a mutant, but rather a rung on the evolutionary ladder to win elections.
When Marge serves Mr. Burns Blinky on a plate for dinner at the Simpsons’ house, he spits out the fish, dooming his campaign to failure and causing him to lose the election.
