In March, the TV presenter announced that his wife Patrice had been diagnosed with cancer again. Now the couple has posted on Instagram with some bad news and some good news.
TV presenter Daniel Aminati (“taff”) and his wife Patrice have given insights into the fight against Patrice’s renewed cancer. “Unfortunately, the first therapy was not successful – I have to admit that. Now we are taking another, a new path. I am grateful for that,” Patrice wrote in a post on Instagram on Tuesday evening. “Ten years ago, my diagnosis was a certain death sentence – the rapid and extensive formation of metastases is a symptom of malignant melanoma.”
Aminati said she has had “475 days, 11,424 hours” with the disease, recalling, among other things, “pain, cramps, sleepless nights, nightmares, operations” and the anxious wait for results. Her greatest wish is “with all gratitude for the new therapy, to finally be able to leave this path.”
“There is finally light at the end of the tunnel”
Daniel Aminati sent hopeful words to his fans: “We’ve just come out of the hospital with new results. There is finally light at the end of the tunnel. I am infinitely happy and relieved,” wrote the 50-year-old. “We still have a way to go… but I am deeply convinced: we can do it.” He is very proud of his wife. He also thanked the fans for their support.
In March, Daniel Aminati informed his fans in a moving message that Patrice had developed metastases – after doctors had assumed in the fall that the cancer had not spread. In April last year, Aminati canceled an upcoming reading tour to be there for his sick wife. The couple have one child together, who was born in summer 2022.
