I have no idea if it will be three months or six months,” said the 53-year-old in her podcast “Let’s Be Clear with Shannen Doherty.” “I can’t predict that. My doctors can’t predict that either. And it’s scary,” said Doherty.
At the same time, she feels hope again for the first time in months because the structure of her cancer cells has changed.
Shannen Doherty announced in 2015 that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then, she has been fighting the disease – explicitly publicly, to encourage other sufferers. In November, she was combative in an interview with the US celebrity magazine “People”: “I’m not done with life yet. I’m not done with love yet,” she said. In March 2024, she stood up for the British Princess Kate, who also has cancer, by sharply criticizing the public pressure on Prince William’s wife.
