Minor Hotels continues with its expansion plan in Latin America and globally

Minor Hotels, a hotel owner, operator and investor, currently with a portfolio of 540 hotels and resorts in 56 countries located in Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Europe, the Americas, Africa and the Indian Ocean, celebrates the first anniversary of Felipe Mihovilovic as director of development and expansion for the Americas.

The plan focuses on two fundamental pillars: expansion and diversification. “Our main objective is to continue with the expansion plan and consolidate the group’s positioning through the diversity of brands in our portfolio,” says the director.

In this sense, the incorporation of new brands such as Elewana, Oaks, Avani, Tivoli and Anantara is key to expanding accommodation options and meeting the needs of an increasingly diverse public.

The launch of the AVANI brand in Latin America has been one of the most notable achievements of this last year. With two new hotels in Bogotá, Colombia, and Cancún, Mexico, AVANI has reached two of the most popular tourist destinations in the region, offering a modern, functional experience with a unique style.

As part of its expansion and strengthening strategy, Minor Hotels is part of the Global Hotel Alliance (GHA) and its loyalty program, GHA Discovery. This alliance has allowed the company to multiply its commercial reach, thanks to a network of 800 hotels and 23 million members.
