With her organization, Scott wants to help families who have lost relatives during military operations. That’s easy to believe, especially as a child. “But then you eventually realise that they would want you to be happy.” And it’s important to talk about grief, even if it can be difficult. “That’s the hardest thing, especially for children, because you think: I don’t want to talk about it because it makes me sad.” But once you realise that you are honoring the life of the deceased by talking about it, things actually become easier.

“If you suppress everything for too long – and you can’t suppress it forever, that’s not sustainable – then it will eat away at you inside,” said the 39-year-old. Harry has been involved in charity work for a long time, for example playing Santa Claus at an Advent celebration, according to the BBC. Since he himself served in Afghanistan, he is always committed to the needs of soldiers.
