Princess Anne was taken to hospital on Sunday. She had apparently been injured by a horse. What exactly happened is still unclear, even after her release.
Princess Anne has left hospital five days after an incident with a horse. The 73-year-old was treated for minor head injuries and a concussion in a clinic in Bristol. In a statement on Friday, her husband Tim Laurence thanked the entire team at Southmead Hospital “for the care, competence and kindness during my wife’s short stay.”
The sister of King Charles III is now recovering at her private country estate, Gatcombe Park, where the accident occurred last Sunday. What exactly happened is still unclear.
Her doctors believe that the Princess Royal was hit by the head or legs of a horse. According to British media, Anne cannot remember the incident. When she will be able to attend official appointments for the royal family again will be decided in consultation with her doctors. The daughter of Queen Elizabeth II is a passionate rider and took part in eventing at the 1976 Olympic Games.
