Luke Mockridge was not allowed to perform in front of the audience at “Stars in der Manege”. This is the reason.
On Friday evening (June 28th) numerous stars once again became acrobats, magicians, clowns and animal tamers at “Stars in the Manege”. One person was missing from the Circus Krone: Comedian Luke Mockridge (35) actually wanted to swing through the air on the Ferris wheel, but was not there when the show was broadcast. He was banned from appearing.
That’s why Luke Mockridge was missing from the recording
Moderator Jörg Pilawa (58) explained the reason for his absence: The comedian tested positive for Corona and had to isolate himself. However, Mockridge joined in via video and apologized. But the TV audience did not have to miss his appearance: According to Pilawa, the performance was recorded in advance and without an audience.
The production of the TV show already took place in December, so Mockridge’s corona infection was already several months ago.
Also part of the show were Ilka Bessin (52) as a cat tamer, Ingolf Lück (66), who balanced on a unicycle, and comedian Martin Schneider (60) as a juggler. In the end, however, the winner’s trophy went to presenter Ariane Alter (38), who impressed with a cage performance at a spectacular height.
