Influencer: Krabbenhöft finds young people in 80s clothes hideous

Second-hand clothes from the 80s? Pants so long that they sweep the street? Influencer Günther Krabbenhöft (79) has no understanding for this – and thinks differently himself.

Berlin influencer and fashion fan Günther Krabbenhöft (79) says he does not like the clothing style of many young people.

“Everyone can do what he or she wants. I think it’s horrible that people today wear second-hand clothes from the 80s – they were already of poor quality back then and they’ve only gotten horrible today,” he said in an interview with the German Press Agency. “It makes the city look so grey and sad. I think it’s a shame that more people don’t get out of the comfort zone of mass taste.” Berlin Fashion Week starts on July 1st.

Krabbenhöft himself wears more classic cuts, which he combines in a modern way. In his videos on social media, he can often be seen dancing to techno music – together with young people. The Kreuzberg original has 307,000 fans on Instagram.

In his opinion, people should take a much closer look at what their own taste actually is. “There have never been so many ways to create your own happiness. They think that they are all individual – but ultimately they aren’t.” Krabbenhöft has particularly little understanding for one way of dressing: “I also find this trend terrible, where everything is much too long and drags on the floor and gets dirty as a result. When dirt and carelessness come together, the look is ruined. You’re not cool with it, you just think you are.” In his opinion, perhaps we should “bring more style and elegance back into fashion.”
