Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds, 44, has never spoken so openly about the early stages of his relationship with colleague Blake Lively, 33. The two have been married since 2012 and have three daughters together, but avoid talking about private or even intimate matters in public.
Now the Canadian did not mince words at all in the “SmartLess” podcast. He chatted almost uninhibited about the getting to know each other during and after the shooting of the joint film “Green Lantern”. At first both were just friends and were also in relationships. A train ride changed everything
“We hung out together and somehow we stayed in touch,” recalls the actor. A joint trip to Boston was the turning point, Reynolds added. Lively had traveled there and he wanted to accompany her at short notice: “We took the train and drove together. I begged her to sleep with me.”
From this something “fairytale-like” developed – and just a week later Reynolds told her that he wanted to buy a house with her: “And we did that too.” A year later, the two were officially husband and wife, around three years later parents for the first time.
