Gere is the latest big name to join the series, after it was confirmed that Michael Fassbender would star in the show and Jeffrey Wright was confirmed as a cast member.

What The Agency is about
“The Agency” is based on the hit French series “Le Bureau.” In the English version, Fassbender plays Martian, described as “an undercover CIA agent who is ordered to abandon his undercover life and return to London Station. When the love he left behind reappears, their romance is rekindled. His career, his true identity and his mission clash with his heart, plunging them both into a deadly game of international espionage and intrigue.”
Gere will play Bosko, billed as “the London station chief with a storied past after serving as an undercover agent for 8 years,” according to the character’s official description.
This will be one of the only regular television roles of Gere’s career. He received an Emmy nomination for his work in the television movie “And the Band Played On” in 1993 and starred in the British miniseries “MotherFatherSon” in 2019 on BBC Two.
He is best known for his starring roles in such films as “An Officer and a Gentleman,” “American Gigolo,” “Pretty Woman,” “Primal Fear,” and “Chicago.” He received Golden Globe nominations for both “An Officer and a Gentleman” and “Pretty Woman,” while winning the Golden Globe for his work in “Chicago.”
