Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck: Are they spending the holidays apart?

Shortly before the US Independence Day, July 4th, Jennifer Lopez (54) and husband Ben Affleck (51) are in different places in the country – as far apart as possible. While the singer was spotted in New York City this week, the actor was out and about in Los Angeles on Wednesday (July 3rd). So the couple are not spending the holiday together?

Lopez ushered in the long weekend that begins today in an Instagram story with the words “Long weekend mood…” and shared a video of herself and her child Emme (16) in a convertible with a male friend. Affleck was photographed on Wednesday on the way to his office, and the actor was said to have been wearing his wedding ring. Jennifer Lopez is also said to be continuing to wear her ring on her finger.

Rumors of marital crisis

For weeks, rumors have been circulating about a marital crisis between the couple. Recently, Jennifer Lopez spent time alone in Europe, including in Italy and at Paris Fashion Week – with no sign of her husband. According to an insider from “People” magazine, both are concentrating “on their separate lives” this summer and have “no summer plans together.” Affleck is also said to have taken his things out of their shared house while J.Lo was traveling. The house is said to be for sale and Affleck has moved into a rental apartment in Brentwood. So far, the two have not commented on the rumors themselves.

Affleck and Lopez only tied the knot in 2022. The two were already a couple between 2002 and 2004 and were even engaged. In 2021, they gave their love another chance. Both were married in the meantime: Lopez to Marc Anthony (55), with whom she shares twins Emme and Max. Ben Affleck shares three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner (52): Violet (18), Seraphina (15) and Samuel (12).
