From the hand of an unconventional hero played by the renowned actor and producer Miguel Varonithe new series features the return of Varoni as Pedro Coral, who returns to Colombia after twenty years of living abroad and returns more eccentric, fun and romantic than ever, along with the addition of Carlos Torres as Pedro Junior, his son.
The original soap opera Peter the scaly quickly became a global phenomenon, reaching more than 105 countries in multiple languages. Its protagonist and his iconic dance “El Pirulino” crossed borders to conquer different generations around the world, becoming an emblematic character of Latin American popular culture in the early 2000s.
What Pedro the Scaly is about: more scaly than ever
The new installment tells the story of Pedro’s return to Colombia. After living abroad for twenty years, the protagonist of the story returns to his homeland to find a reality completely different from the one he left behind when he was forced to seek new horizons. To his surprise, he discovers that his son has become a successful and prosperous professional, forcing him to invent a series of stories with the aim of hiding what has been a life of sacrifice and deprivation and earning the respect and admiration of Pedro Junior.
Composed of 23 episodes of 45 minutes, Pedro the scaly: more scaly than ever It is written by Felipe Salamancahas executive production by Juan Carlos Villamizar and Dago Garciathe same team that helmed the original story, and is directed by Juan Carlos Vasquez, Andres Marroquin and Juan Carlos Villamizar.
