She is also a real eye-catcher on the red carpet. At the Munich Film Festival, she recently wowed everyone in a white maxi dress with black straps by Longchamp. The eye-catcher of her look was a transparent insert in the middle of the body with the logo of the traditional French brand. In an interview, Harriet Herbig-Matten reveals which fashion trends the actress currently likes to wear most and which accessories she can never be without.
How important is fashion to you?
Harriet Herbig-Matten: Fashion has always played a role in my family. That is why fashion is and has always been very present in my life. For me, fashion is a way to constantly redefine myself and express my inner self.
You are a fashion role model for many. Where do you get inspiration for your style?
Herbig-Matten: To be honest, it’s very different. A lot about family – my grandmother is a very stylish woman in my eyes -, friends, but also films. When I admired a film character, their clothing style was always an automatic inspiration for me. I often tried to dress the same as the character. Of course, I also like to get inspiration from social media.
Do you have fashion role models? What style do they admire?
Herbig-Matten: That changes too, but I always have the style of the young Victoria Beckham or Pamela Anderson in my head. I also admire Vivienne Westwood’s fashion a lot.
Which fashion trends do you currently like to wear the most?
Herbig-Matten: If I had to choose a trend that I love and have been wearing since childhood, it would be cowboy boots. At the moment I also love the “Le Roseau” from Longchamp, a high-quality bag instantly enhances any outfit.
Is there a particular piece of clothing or accessory you can’t live without?
Herbig-Matten: I never leave the house without my grandfather’s rings. As I said, cowboy boots and sunglasses are also often part of my outfit.
What is your absolute must-have in summer?
Herbig-Matten: A good, comfortable pair of men’s sports shorts is a must in summer.
Do you have any styling tips for hot days?
Herbig-Matten: Wear what you feel comfortable in, no matter how short or long, how little or much you wear and enjoy the summer.
