Prince Harry and Meghan are planning more books – one after the Queen’s death

Surprise: Apparently, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are planning three more book publications after Harry’s announced memoir. Particularly spicy is the fact that one of them is only supposed to appear after the Queen’s death.

The news of Prince Harry’s planned memoir caused trouble in Buckingham Palace last week, now it’s getting even worse: Apparently, he and Meghan have three more books in the pipeline. As reported, the renegade duke couple negotiated a million dollar deal for a total of four books.

This includes Harry’s autobiography, due to appear in the fall of 2022, and a wellness book by Duchess Meghan. But the third publication in particular is likely to make the royal family sweat: Apparently Harry would like to write another book, which, however, will only appear after the Queen’s grandmother’s death. That is stipulated in the contract. The subject of the fourth book is not yet known.

“Might come across as tasteless to many”: Prince Harry’s book deal causes trouble

“Most shocking, frankly, is the fact that Harry has suggested that we wait with the second book until the queen is no longer with us,” a publishing source is quoted as saying. “People will be wondering what else he has, who to attack. The idea that there is this detonated bomb waiting for the Queen to die is just unusual and may seem distasteful to many.”

The relationship between Prince Harry and his family has been shattered since he and his wife withdrew from official royal duties and emigrated to the United States. In March they gave American talk show host Oprah Winfrey a TV interview in which they made serious allegations against the British royals. Among other things, there was talk of racism in the palace. Harry also said that his father, Prince Charles, and brother, Prince William, were trapped in the palace and did not notice. And apparently the couple has more to tell.

Harry and Meghan have signed a book deal with New York publisher Penguin Random House. There is talk of up to 40 million dollars that the two should receive for it. Allegedly Harry only opened negotiations with a starting bid of $ 25 million. The couple announced that the proceeds will be donated. It is not known whether this includes the fee.
