Hollywood star Nicolas Cage has spoken about the unusual family constellation with his three children. “Each of them has a different mother,” the 60-year-old explained to the US magazine “The New Yorker”. “It’s not what I originally imagined when I fell in love or got married – that I would have three different children with three different mothers – but that’s how it turned out.” Each of his children is therefore different and they are “different experiences” for him.
The actor has two sons from previous relationships, who are 18 and 33 years old, according to US magazine “People”. His first daughter, August Francesca Coppola Cage, was born in September 2022. The year before, the actor had married Japanese-born Riko Shibata. As the father of a girl, he experiences “whole different levels of care and protection,” Cage explained, comparing his role as August’s father to breathing. “Everything revolves around her.”
