What is The Substance about?
Conceived as a wild exercise in gore horror, The substance builds a powerful satire on the aesthetic pressure to which women are subjected by the entertainment industry, and by society as a whole. With the promise: “you, but better in every way”, The Substance, a revolutionary product based on cell division, creates a younger, more beautiful and more perfect alter ego that will change the life of a woman in crisis.
