Bill Kaulitz: His home is uninhabitable

Shock for Tokio Hotel singer Bill Kaulitz: His villa in Los Angeles has become uninhabitable due to water damage.

Shock for Bill and Tom Kaulitz (34): The twin brothers are faced with a catastrophe at home in Los Angeles after their vacation in Europe. During their absence, there was water damage in Bill’s house, which has made the house uninhabitable for the time being. The couple’s newly furnished studio appears to have been particularly affected by the disaster. In addition, about half of the house is said to have been flooded. Many personal mementos have fallen victim to the water damage.

“Masses of water came out of the studio door”

While Bill Kaulitz did not return to the USA immediately, Tom Kaulitz was the one who “had to see the horror news in person.” “I flew back to LA with my wife and immediately after arriving I got a call from our assistant, who had just opened our studio door at your home. Mass amounts of water came flooding out of the studio door,” says Heidi Klum’s husband (51) in the podcast.

The water in the studio is 30 centimeters deep. “We have just finished the studio. It took months,” said the brothers. “Anyone who has seen ‘Kaulitz & Kaulitz’ knows how much I love the details of my house,” added Bill Kaulitz. His assistant said to him: “You can’t go back to your house for the next six months.”

The Kaulitz twins are in shock

Tom Kaulitz reports that the insurance company and the assessors came immediately to assess the damage and the necessary measures. “Bill, I was in shock. I thought I couldn’t believe what I was doing,” said the 34-year-old. He spent the whole day getting everything that could still be saved out of the studio. “We don’t know how long the water had been there, probably for days. Everything has already started to rust, everything is wet, everything stinks like a swamp in there. First we have to find the problem, then the house has to be drained. To do that, your whole bathroom will probably have to be destroyed, your floors will have to be ripped up.”

In a podcast conversation with his brother, Bill Kaulitz is visibly upset about the loss of his home: “I can’t go home now.” He is really glad that he is not in Los Angeles right now and has so much to do. The thought of his destroyed house is completely destroying him.
