When parents show their children old black and white films instead of modern blockbusters, it may sound like punishment at first. But that’s not the case with Christiane Paul and her children.
Actress Christiane Paul (50) likes to watch old film classics in black and white with her children. She started showing her children arthouse films or old films at an early age, Paul said in the “NDR Talk Show” on Friday evening.
At first they absolutely hated it. “But now they’re almost grown up and they really like it and can add their own things to the list.” That’s really exciting because you can see whether the films still work today.
At first, her son was surprised by the old black-and-white films, but now it has become a “nice tradition.” Her own films are not included in the family film screenings, said Paul.
