Eddie Murphy and Paige Butcher are officially a married couple. The wedding took place in the Caribbean, surrounded by family and close friends.
Comedy star Eddie Murphy (63) and Australian model Paige Butcher (44) have been officially engaged since 2018. Now the two have finally taken the step to get married.
According to reports, the two said “I do” on July 9th in the British overseas territory of Anguilla in the Caribbean in a small, private ceremony. Only family and close friends were there. Butcher wore a lace-trimmed corset wedding dress from the luxury brand Mira Zwillinger, while Murphy, as the groom, wore a classy white Brioni suit.
A couple since 2012
The two have been a couple since 2012 and had their first child together, daughter Izzy Oona (8), in 2016. Two months after their engagement, the couple welcomed their second child at the end of 2018: their son Max Charles (5) was born.
For Murphy, this is already his second marriage and his third wedding celebration: from 1993 to 2006 he was married to Nicole Murphy (56), and the two have five children together. He also celebrated a wedding ceremony with film producer Tracey Edmonds (57) in 2008 on a small private island off Bora Bora. However, the two separated just a few days later, which is why the marriage was never officially registered.
Paige Butcher: Eddie Murphy is a real family man
In total, the “Beverly Hills Cop” star is a father of ten children. For example, he has another daughter from a relationship with ex-Spice Girl Melanie B (49).
For Paige Butcher, however, it is her first marriage. She has rarely spoken about her relationship with Murphy in interviews. However, she revealed to People magazine a few weeks ago: “He is crazy about his children and his family. He is a family man at heart. Truly, he is. He really is.”
