What is A Small Light, a series available on Disney+, about?
“A Small Light” is set in Amsterdam during the Nazi occupation. The series follows Miep Gies, a young woman who works as a secretary for Otto Frank. When Otto asks her for help in hiding his family, Miep agrees without hesitation, despite the danger involved.
Throughout the episodes, we see how Miep and her husband Jan become the protectors of the Franks and other refugees, providing them with food, supplies and news from outside. The series shows the daily challenges and the risks they face, as well as the moments of hope and humanity that emerge amid the darkness.
