Prince William watched the European Championship final in the stadium with his son Prince George. A woman he apparently didn’t know spoke to him: Franziska Giffey. The heir to the throne was not amused.
You’re looking forward to a beautiful and exciting European Championship final and then people keep coming into the stadium wanting to talk to you. Prince William might have thought something like that as he sat in Berlin’s Olympic Stadium to watch the Spain vs. England match.
According to one person, a blonde woman approached him in the stadium and tried to talk to him. The royal was not happy about this, a lip reader claims to have recognized. He even mumbled an insult: “sausage”. A rather harmless way of calling someone an idiot. According to the photos, the woman, unknown to the “Mirror”, was Berlin’s Senator for Economic Affairs, Franziska Giffey (SPD). She herself posted a photo of the meeting with the British heir to the throne and his son on Instagram.
Prince William praises team after European Championship final
After losing the final, the British heir to the throne found words of encouragement: “England, your teamwork, your perseverance and your determination have been an inspiration to us all, young and old,” said a message from the British heir to the throne couple on X. They added: “Congratulations to Spain.”

These stars and politicians were in the stadium cheering
The message was signed “W & C”, the initials of their first names William and Catherine. This is seen as a sign that they wrote the message themselves. The Berlin Senator is probably waiting in vain for kind regards from the two of them.
