The Canadian city of Toronto is currently being hit by heavy rainfall. Rapper Drake is also suffering from this.
Drake has pointed out the impact of extreme weather on his mansion. It has been raining heavily in his Canadian hometown of Toronto for several days – so heavily that even the rapper’s house could no longer withstand it. In the clip, he can be seen wading through muddy water up to his knees in his dressing room.
Drake tries to see the situation with humor. “I hope this is an espresso martini,” he captioned the video for his 145 million followers, alluding to the brown masses of water. The floods are constantly streaming through the patio door and making their way into the hallway of his villa. With the small broom in his hand, the musician can no longer do anything about it.
50,000 square meter property
In 2020, Drake unveiled his XXL villa in the. Everything about his property is gigantic: It is 50,000 square meters in size and features, among other things, a full-scale indoor NBA basketball court, rooms with 30-meter ceilings and a chandelier made of 20,000 hand-cut Swarovski crystals – the second largest of its kind in the world.
With the house, which Drake calls “The Embassy,” he deliberately wants to show off his wealth. “It’s an overwhelming luxury. That message is conveyed through the size of the rooms and the materials and details of the floors and ceilings. I wanted to make sure that people could see the work I’ve put in over the years from every angle,” he explained of his home.
