Lukas Dauser: The gymnastics star becomes father for the first time after the Olympics

Exciting times for gymnastics world champion Lukas Dauser (30): At the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, the reigning athlete of the year is one of the German team’s biggest gold hopes. And things are going well in his private life too: wife Viktoria (28) is pregnant. The couple’s first child is expected to see the light of day in September. The two revealed this in an interview with the magazine “Bunte”.

When they found out in January that they were going to be parents, Vicky, as Dauser calls his wife, cried with joy, the gymnast reveals. “And Lukas could hardly wipe the grin off his face,” adds his wife. “The fact that we are going to be parents soon is the greatest thing for us. A lifelong dream is coming true, after our dream wedding, children are a necessary part of being complete for us.”

The athlete and the dentist have been married since 2023 and have been a couple for eleven years. She has also had a successful career in rhythmic gymnastics, becoming German team champion in 2012. It was during this time that the two met, as they reveal in an interview.

She gave up her sports career in favor of her job and studied dentistry. Dauser became single German champion in 2016 and 2017 and three times in 2021, and he also won gold in the gymnastics world cup in 2015 and 2023. He also won gold on parallel bars at the 2023 World Championships in Antwerp. The games in Paris will be Dauser’s third Olympic Games: in 2016 he qualified for the team final in Rio de Janeiro, in 2021 he won the silver medal in parallel bars in Tokyo and again reached the team final. In November 2021 he was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf by Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier (68), and in 2023 he was named Sportsman of the Year.
