US superstar Taylor Swift starts her German tour in Gelsenkirchen. She arrives in NRW at midday – but her plane lands somewhere else.
Superstar Taylor Swift has arrived in North Rhine-Westphalia ahead of the first German concert of her “Eras Tour”. Her plane came from London and landed in Düsseldorf at 1:15 p.m., according to dpa information. The “Bild” newspaper had previously reported on the singer’s arrival.
The 34-year-old and her team then continued their journey to Gelsenkirchen in a convoy of several dark cars, where they arrived around 2 p.m. Shortly after their arrival, the second sound check began, which could also be heard outside the Veltins Arena.
Around 60,000 fans of the singer are expected to attend the first German concert of the “Eras Tour”. From midday onwards, other “Swifties” without concert tickets gathered in front of the arena to listen from outside.
