Whoopi Goldberg surprises with a strange confession: The actress scattered her mother’s ashes in Disneyland.
Oscar winner Whoopi Goldberg (68) surprised everyone on US television with an unusual confession. In the show “Late Night with Seth Meyers”, the 68-year-old revealed that she scattered the ashes of her mother Emma Harris (1931-2010), who died in 2010, in the Disneyland theme park in Anaheim, California.
Whoopi Goldberg: “Nobody should do that”
The actress, who is one of the regular presenters of the talk show “The View” in the USA, explained in the July 10 broadcast that her mother loved Disneyland. She was particularly fond of the legendary theme ride “It’s a Small World”, which takes her through different parts of the world. For this reason, Goldberg distributed the ashes of the deceased there.
Fake sneezing
To this end, Goldberg took a little of her mother’s ashes out of her bag, pretended to sneeze violently, and scattered the remains on the “It’s a Small World” ride. To make the whole thing even more convincing, Goldberg declared out loud: “Oh my God, this cold is getting worse and worse.”
But in the meantime, the Hollywood star has clearly developed a new perspective on his actions. The actress said right at the beginning of her segment on “Late Night with Seth Meyers”: “Nobody should do that. Don’t do it!” She later informed those in charge at Disneyland about her actions because she wanted to make sure that she hadn’t “done anything dangerous.” Because, says Goldberg, she hadn’t thought of that before.
