Touchdown in Germany! Taylor Swift’s private jet landed in Düsseldorf at noon. In the evening she will play her first concert in Germany.
There is great excitement ahead of megastar Taylor Swift’s (34) concerts in Germany: On Wednesday evening (July 14), the US pop singer will play her first of three concerts in Gelsenkirchen, with thousands of “Swifties” queuing in front of the Veltins Arena since the early hours of the morning. A few hours before the start of the show, Swift has apparently arrived in Germany.
Taylor Swift arrives in Germany
the singer’s private jet landed at the General Aviation Terminal (GAT) in Düsseldorf on Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. This is an executive terminal that handles around 12,000 private and business flights a year. The flight apparently came from Milan, Italy, where the singer performed on July 9 and 10.
Taylor Swift is said to have worn blue jeans and strappy wedges with cork platform heels when she arrived. According to the newspaper, Swift and her entourage then made their way into the city center in a well-protected manner. The singer is said to be staying at the luxurious Breidenbacher Hof hotel in Düsseldorf.
From there it is just under an hour and a half drive to the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen – or “Swiftkirchen”, as the city has been renamed in honor of Swift. The concert begins on Wednesday evening at 6:15 p.m. with the opening act Paramore, and Taylor Swift will be on stage from around 8 p.m. On average, the singer plays for around three and a half hours.
Seven concerts in Germany
Taylor Swift will be on stage with her “Eras Tour” from Wednesday to Friday (July 17th to 19th) at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen. Around 60,000 fans are expected in the stadium each evening. On July 23rd and 24th she will play at the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg and on July 27th and 28th at the Olympiastadion in Munich.
Afterwards, the tour will continue to Warsaw and Vienna before Swift concludes the European leg of the “Eras Tour” with five concerts at London’s Wembley Stadium.
