The reserve is a 140-hectare area. which extends between the Sarandí and Santo Domingo streams to the Río de la Plata in the city of Avellaneda. This space is dedicated to the preservation of biodiversity, leisure, community recreation and the development of environmental education programs.
It houses more than 180 species of birds, more than 10 species of amphibians (almost 50% of those present in the province of Buenos Aires), 30 species of dragonflies (12% of those present in Argentina), and the presence of Ceibos (National Flower of Argentina). It is, without a doubt, one of the sites with the greatest biodiversity in the Province.

Walk and take a tour surrounded by protected fauna and flora with the possibility of getting away from the noise of the city.
La Saladita Lagoon
A mirror of 7.5ha salt water. It is surrounded by bushes, shrubs, pastures, a small grove of espinillos and white carob trees, where hundreds of birds can be seen. It is said that many years ago, near its banks, a freight train was derailed and a wagon full of salt overturned into its waters, turning its water salty.
Count with one playground, trails, the Environmental Education School and the only Municipal Canoeing School in the country has been operating since the mid-80s.where you can practice canoeing and kayak polo, freely and free of charge.

To get to this beautiful green space, take the Buenos Aires – La Plata highway, and then get off at the Avellaneda exit until the intersection of Hernán Cortés, Solís and Morse streets.
