Kate Hudson says she doesn’t use deodorant, just like her former film partner Matthew McConaughey.
Kate Hudson (45) revealed in an interview that her acting colleague Matthew McConaughey (54) is not the only Hollywood star who doesn’t use deodorant. She herself doesn’t use it either. The actress revealed this on Wednesday (July 17) in the talk show .
Hudson smelled him “from a mile away”
Moderator Andy Cohen (56) asked Hudson whether it was true that she forced McConaughey to use deodorant while filming “The Secret Life of Man” (2008). “No,” replied the actress. “He doesn’t wear deodorant – and by the way, I don’t wear any either,” she added. They both go “completely natural,” she explained with a laugh.
However, Hudson said that she could smell McConaughey “from a mile away.” In the romantic action comedy, the two played the treasure-hunting couple Ben and Tess Finnegan. The actor once said in an interview with “Playboy” that Hudson had brought a salt stone with him to the set. She asked him to wear the stone, which was supposed to mask odors. But McConaughey did not comply with her request.
Other stars also forego
The two actors are not alone in their habit. In 2014, she said she had lived for almost 20 years without using antiperspirant. The reason she gave was that it made the unpleasant smell last. Comedian and podcaster Marc Maron (60) also uses his own fragrance, as he did in 2015. Fashion designer Tom Ford (62) is said to have told him in 2006 at a party to celebrate the launch of a perfume that he was not using deodorant.
