After Silverstone: Brad Pitt is also doing a lap on the Hungaroring for his new film. This time he came without female company.
The Hollywood star has made another pit stop: For his new film, Brad Pitt (60) is also filming behind the scenes of Formula 1 at the Hungaroring northeast of Budapest and was once again spotted in the paddock.
As was the case in Silverstone, Great Britain, in Hungary there will be one more paddock than the usual ten Formula 1 teams, as reported by, among others. “APX GP” is, however, the fictional racing team from the upcoming “F1” motorsport film with actor Brad Pitt in the lead role.
Pitt and the film crew are allowed to move around freely during normal Formula 1 racing operations for filming. He even sits behind the wheel of a Formula 2 racing car that has been converted for the film. Press representatives and members of other racing teams were asked to keep a low profile so as not to jeopardize the authenticity of the filming.
Pitt’s Formula 1 film coming in 2025
At the beginning of July, Pitt was already in Silverstone and showed his girlfriend Ines de Ramon (34) around the pit camp of the Formula 1 races in Great Britain.
The racing film is scheduled to hit theaters on June 25, 2025. Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton (39) is involved in the film production as a consultant. A first trailer for the film was released during the British Grand Prix around two weeks ago.
In “F1,” Pitt takes on the lead role of Sonny Hayes, an ageing driver who returns to Formula 1. He plays the mentor of Damson Idris (32), who is an aspiring racing driver. The owner of the racing team is played by Javier Bardem (55).
Pitt as a permanent guest during the GP season
Filming is not scheduled to be completed until the Formula 1 season finale, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix (GP), on December 8, 2024.
