Oliver Pocher never misses an opportunity to attract attention, no matter what the cost. Now he provoked people at the Taylor Swift concert in a Rammstein shirt. Criticism was inevitable.
He should actually have a lot of experience in dealing with women, after all he has already had one or two relationships and the comedian can also count two failed marriages in his portfolio. He also has a 14-year-old daughter. Nevertheless, the 46-year-old still seems to lack the necessary sensitivity towards women.
Oliver Pocher recently attracted negative attention at Taylor Swift’s concert in Gelsenkirchen. The comedian appeared there in a Rammstein shirt – and posted his outfit in an Instagram story. Although the story has since expired, the pictures can still be found. His companion, first ex-wife Sandy Meyer-Wölden, also diligently produced content from the concert. Apparently without realizing how inappropriate her ex-husband’s choice of clothing was.
What did Oliver Pocher want to say with his shirt?
The band Rammstein and especially its frontman Till Lindemann have come under heavy criticism in recent years. There were allegations of abuse and knockout drops. The case was dropped in August 2023 due to a lack of evidence. At concerts, Lindemann continues to happily shoot his penis cannon into the audience as if nothing had ever happened. And so Pocher’s decision to wear a Rammstein shirt at a concert attended mainly by young women, which is seen as a kind of “safe space”, can be seen as inappropriate.
Journalist Anja Rützel was outraged by this tactlessness and posted on X an excerpt from an interview that she herself gave to the “Berliner Zeitung”. In it, she answered the question of what she had learned in the past week: “that things don’t just get more and more stupid, but after that, you guessed it, even more stupid.” This sentence was aimed at Oliver Pocher.
Regarding his Rammstein statement shirt, Rützel says that he is “rubbing in the faces of all potential or actual victims of sexist attacks or sexualized violence for probably the hundredth time how little he cares about their feelings.” Her conclusion: “I have nothing but contempt for that.”
