Following a comment on social media, the pop icon’s second eldest son clarified something about his life situation and his relationship with his mother.
The adopted son of pop icon Madonna (65) caused concern among fans with a comment on social media. He then clarified that he does not live on the streets. 18-year-old David Banda wrote in an Instagram story: “My mother supports me a lot. She has always supported me. I am very happy in my life and I am not living on the streets and starving!” Madonna adopted David Banda as a child from Malawi.
The son of the “Material Girl” singer, who is now a musician himself, said his message was addressed to “everyone who is worried.” As the US magazine “People” reported, the 18-year-old had previously answered questions from fans on Instagram – including what life is like after moving out of his parents’ house.
According to the report, David then joked that sometimes he only realized in the evening that he was hungry and had no money to go shopping and that he then had to go and look for something to eat.
Madonna has a total of six children. After the birth of a biological daughter and a son, she adopted David and three more daughters. In May, the singer wrote in an emotional Instagram post about her children that they were “growing up too quickly”: David and his sister Mercy have now finished high school, she wrote. Her children are developing in different directions, “and yes, it’s hard for me to let go.”
