The dressage rider and wife of Thomas Müller, Lisa Müller, is confronted with abusive comments on Instagram. No one should experience bullying because of their appearance, she writes.

Lisa Müller has reacted to derogatory remarks about her body on Instagram. “The comments are slowly getting out of hand,” wrote the 34-year-old. She had previously posted a photo of herself in a bikini. Some users then criticized her appearance as being too thin.

Müller, who works as a dressage rider and is married to FC Bayern Munich player Thomas Müller, had written under the bikini photo: “Recover from stressful times”, meaning that she needs to recover from stressful times.

Now the woman from Munich wrote: “I don’t really care if someone writes that they don’t like what they see, even if I’m quite surprised that people generally think they can add their negative two cents to everything, but it doesn’t have to be offensive under any circumstances.”

“I like to do sports, ride lots of horses every day, and run 15 km three times a week because my personal goal is the half marathon in September.” Müller added: “Everyone should feel comfortable in their body and not be bullied because of their appearance.” Then she talked about her BMI (body mass index). “According to Dr. Google, the normal BMI is between 18.5 and 24. That means that for my height of 1.76 m, my weight must be between 57 and 74 kg. That’s almost 20 kg between the lowest end of NORMAL WEIGHT and the highest end!” said Müller.

Müller receives support from influencer Louisa Dellert, among others, who added a comment to her post. “I would also like to contribute something to the discussion,” says Dellert. “Last year I first suffered a burnout and then ended up in a depression. During this time I gained 10 kilos. When the first mean comments were written on Instagram about my body weight, it really hurt me because, to be honest, I was just happy that I managed to get out of that dark hole relatively okay,” says the influencer. “Please stop commenting on other people’s bodies or generally on people’s appearance without asking,” is her appeal to Instagram users.
