Rufus Sewell: He marries a partner 30 years younger than him

They take the age difference with humor: Rufus Sewell married his partner who is almost 30 years younger than him.

Rufus Sewell (56) is married again. The British actor married his fiancée Vivian Benitez (27) at the weekend. The wedding took place at Manorbier Castle in Wales. By choosing the 11th century castle as the venue for the celebration, the London native was apparently paying tribute to his mother’s Welsh roots.

Paparazzi photos show Rufus Sewell in a cream-colored suit. Underneath, the “The Holiday” star wore a white shirt with a black tie. The bride wore a strapless, white wedding dress.

The couple laughs about the age difference

The couple had only gotten engaged six months ago. Sewell had asked for Vivian Benitez’s hand in marriage in Rome in December 2023. Benitez posted shortly afterwards.

“Until death do us part,” the actress captioned the photos at the time. “Or until he’s back to walking on bath mats in his street shoes,” she added humorously. In a post the following day, she joked about the almost 30 years that lie between the couple: “Please tell anyone who’s worried about our age difference that it’s OK now – I turned 27 this morning,” she wrote. The Brit and the American with Cuban roots have been together since 2019.

Third marriage for Rufus Sewell

This is Rufus Sewell’s third marriage. Between 1999 and 2000 he was married to businesswoman Yasmin Abdallah. In 2004 the “Scoop” actor married producer Amy Gardner, and they divorced in 2006. The relationship produced a son. He also has a ten-year-old daughter with his former partner Ami Komai.

Rufus Sewell has been in the film business for over 30 years, playing leading roles in “Dark City” (1998) and “A Knight’s Tale” (2001). He recently caused a stir with “Scoop – A Royal Interview”. With a lot of make-up, Sewell transformed himself into Prince Andrew (64). The Netflix film reconstructs the infamous interview from 2019 in which the brother of King Charles III (75) talked himself into trouble about his connections to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein (1953-2019).
