Madonna’s son responds to fans’ concerns that he is homeless. “I’m not living on the streets and starving,” David Banda clarifies.
Madonna’s (65) adopted son David Banda (18) speaks plainly. “I am very happy in my life and I am not living on the streets and starving,” he explains, reacting to rumors that he is homeless. The speculation arose due to the musician’s response on Instagram to a fan’s question.
Madonna “supports me a lot”
The pop star’s adopted son confirms that he can count on the Queen of Pop’s help. “To all those who are worried: my mother supports me a lot. She has always supported me.” He asks his followers not to worry about him anymore. “Everything is fine,” he emphasizes.
Banda answered questions from fans in an Instagram live stream. When asked how he liked life alone, he said he loved it, but lived with his girlfriend. Banda is also said to have joked that sometimes he only notices in the evening that he is hungry and has no money to go shopping, and he then has to go looking for something to eat.
Pop star is mother of six
Madonna adopted Banda as a toddler from Malawi. The singer has three other adopted children. Mercy (18) and the twins Estere and Stella (11) also come from the East African state. In 2006, Madonna founded the “Raising Malawi” organization. The non-profit organization cares for children in need, such as orphans.
In addition to her four adopted children, Madonna has two biological children. The father of her daughter Lourdes (27) is the Cuban actor and former fitness trainer Carlos Leon (58). Four years after the birth of the model, the musician had her son Rocco (23) with her then husband Guy Ritchie (55). In 2020, she immortalized the names of her six children in the form of tattooed initials on her left wrist.
