Halle Berry celebrates her 20th “Catwoman” anniversary with revealing pictures.
Halle Berry (57) is celebrating her 20th “Catwoman” anniversary with a revealing Instagram post. The actress, who played the superheroine in the 2004 film of the same name, poses for a series of pictures wearing only a black cat-eye mask and a skimpy bikini bottom. Her two cats cover the actress’s naked upper body.
“I will always be Catwoman”
“Today marks 20 years since I had the honor of bringing this iconic character to life,” she captioned the snapshots. “She will always be close to my heart and I will forever be Patience Phillips aka Catwoman.”
In her post, Berry also thanked the person who helped her adopt the cats. “When these black beauties showed up in my garden looking for their mother, Jee helped us rescue them,” explained the cat mom of two. She is “forever grateful” to her for finding the kittens, their mother and two siblings in her garden. She has found another home for the latter.
Proud despite cinema flop
In contrast to Berry, “Catwoman” did not convince the public. The film won four negative awards, the “Golden Raspberry” – for worst film, worst actress, worst director and worst screenplay. The film grossed around 82.4 million US dollars, which is equivalent to 75.98 million euros. Due to a budget of 100 million US dollars, the equivalent of 92.21 million euros, “Catwoman” is considered a flop.
Halle Berry took this with humor. She said she had made fun of herself at the awards ceremony. “I’ve always learned that if you can’t be a good loser, you don’t deserve to be a good winner,” she explained. However, she destroyed the award after her acceptance speech. “I set the thing on fire,” she revealed.
