Pietro Lombardi: His pregnant fiancée is in hospital

Pietro Lombardi’s heavily pregnant fiancée Laura Maria Rypa is in hospital. In her Instagram stories, she writes to her followers: “As you know, I’m not feeling well. I’ve actually been in hospital since yesterday and was just too exhausted to get in touch.”

She adds: “Unfortunately, some complications have arisen, it is the same case as with Leano.” Laura Maria Rypa and Pietro Lombardi’s first son was born six weeks prematurely in January 2023. Back then, too, the 28-year-old had to undergo hospital treatment beforehand. Now the couple is expecting another son.

“The risk of the baby coming before the 34th week of pregnancy is simply too high. That’s why I have to stay here, take medication and have the lungs matured,” writes Rypa. She explains that a baby’s lungs are not yet fully developed before the 34th week. “You don’t want to take any risks and it’s necessary, as was the case with Leano.”

It is not yet clear how long she will have to stay in the hospital. “Whether it will be three days, a week or even longer, because she is already having premature contractions. They are now being treated with drugs to inhibit contractions. It was all so unexpected, the pregnancy was problem-free the whole time and has been very nice up until now,” says Rypa.

The 28-year-old recently made malicious Instagram comments public in which she was accused of making her situation more dramatic than it was in order to generate attention. In another Instagram story, Rypa therefore writes: “Anyone who makes a hype out of something like this is just terrible. It’s about my baby’s health. I am incredibly happy and grateful that my husband Pietro Lombardi and my family are such a great support.”

Laura Maria Rypa and Pietro Lombardi have been together since 2020 and got engaged in 2022. Pietro Lombardi has another son, eight-year-old Alessio, with his ex-wife Sarah Engels.
