How sick is Lena Meyer-Landrut? The singer’s team has now announced that all remaining concerts on her current tour have been cancelled. The 33-year-old has a message for her fans.
Singer Lena Meyer-Landrut has now also canceled the remaining two concerts this year, on Friday in Stuttgart and on Saturday in Echternach in Luxembourg. Her team announced this in an Instagram story. “Most of the shows were almost sold out and it is therefore all the more painful to have to disappoint so many people,” the message says. The team also posted an audio message from the singer to her fans: “It breaks my heart and I wish so much that I didn’t have to record this. But as you may have seen in the slide before, I also have to cancel the remaining shows this year for health reasons,” says Meyer-Landrut.
Lena Meyer-Landrut apologizes to her fans
On Sunday, the singer ended up in the emergency room “for the third time in the last few weeks with severe pain cramps,” she said. “And every time it hits me, my crew, the band and of course you fans totally unexpectedly. And every time it’s a shock that isn’t nice for anyone.” The singer therefore has to “just pull the ripcord here.”
At the end, Meyer-Landrut thanked and apologized to the fans. She is now taking a “short break” for her health.
The 2010 ESC winner had already cancelled several concerts in the past few days and weeks, some shortly before they were due to start, and had to be treated in hospital. After the first two cancelled performances in Munich and Wangen, the 33-year-old treated herself to a break of several days and then told her fans on Instagram that she was “slowly getting back on her feet”. She then played two concerts in Plauen and Wolfsburg, before all further concerts had to be cancelled. Meyer-Landrut is currently on tour with her new album “Loyal to myself”.
