21 years after its original release, Chayanne presented a quartet version of “A century without you” next to Luck Ra. “Friends, I honestly don’t know how I ended up making a song with Chayanne, but enjoy.” With this message, Luck Ra echoed the surprise that the release of his latest song generated among his fans.
This unexpected collaboration marks Chayanne’s return to the studio, after the release of his album Let’s dance againin October 2023. According to reports, it was the energy and talent of the Argentine musician, who this summer became the most listened to thanks to his hit “The brunette”which convinced him to re-do a version of the song that he included in his 2003 album Sincero.
Prior to the premiere, the artists announced their feat with a fun video in which they were seen in the studio, listening to their new creation. “It’s good, cousin, right? Good,” said Luck Ra. After turning around and looking at the camera, the music icon said: “Approved by Chayanne.” The clip ends with the two laughing and dancing to the song’s chorus.
The original song was composed by Venezuelan singer-songwriter Franco de Vita and at the time reached number one on Billboard’s Latin Airplay and Latin Pop Airplay charts.
