What Snoop Dogg Said About Carrying the Olympic Torch
“It was very emotional for all of us to see the champion holding the torch and walking over there. This is my own version of that,” Snoop said on a call with NBC sportscaster Mike Tirico, the Washington Post reported. “I don’t want to get too emotional, but I know this is special.”
He also acknowledged criticism that he, as an American, would carry the torch to the Paris Games.
“This says a lot about America and where we are in this world,” he said. “At the same time, it says a lot about France in that it connected the dots and allowed me to do this.” I consider this a prestigious honor and something I really respect. I would never have dreamed of something like this.”.
