Roland Kaiser was given a special honor in Dresden. The pop star was allowed to unveil his own Madame Tussauds wax figure.
Pop singer Roland Kaiser (72) is having an exciting year. He recently played the last two stadium shows of his “50 Years – 50 Hits” anniversary tour to mark his 50th stage anniversary and this weekend he is celebrating the 50th “Kaisermania” with his fans on the banks of the Elbe in Dresden. Before the start of the concert series, Kaiser was able to celebrate another special event last Friday (July 26).
“The double dad”
The pop star was honored with a deceptively real wax figure from the famous wax museum Madame Tussauds. The singer was able to admire his likeness, which is wearing Kaiser’s iconic blue stage suit and holding a microphone in its hand, at a first meeting in Dresden. The figure will then be exhibited in the wax museum in Berlin and fans will be able to get closer to the wax version of their pop idol. “I think it turned out extremely well,” explains Kaiser of Berlin’s Madame Tussauds, which recorded the unveiling of his doppelgänger. The musician was delighted with how much time, skill and craftsmanship the employees had put into his wax figure.
At the event in Dresden, Kaiser also received family support. Daughter Annalena Kaiser (born 1999) was there too. The duo posed together for the photographers, Annalena also wrote enthusiastically with a heart emoji: “The double daddy.” Later, she appeared in another story at the “Kaisermania” on the grounds of the Film Nights on the banks of the Elbe. After the opening on Friday, Kaiser will also be performing the annual live concerts in Dresden on Saturday (July 27) and on August 2 and 3, 2024.
Last June, Kaiser explained his future plans: “I’m not even thinking about quitting, that’s not an option for me,” said the singer. “My children are all out of the house. I love what I do and I’m healthy – so I’m going to keep going!”
